Founded on 16 August 1984, Palms Food International has been a cornerstone of Singapore’s vibrant aviation landscape for over 40 years. Originally incorporated as Spinneys Catering Services Pte Ltd, our identity was inspired by the storied heritage of the global “Spinneys” brand, though we quickly established our own unique footprint as a dedicated local food service expert.
Our operational journey truly took flight in 1986–1987, coinciding with the rapid expansion of Changi Airport’s first terminals. As a pioneer in airport F&B, Palms launched the Food Gallery in Terminal 1, which served as the airport’s primary dining hub for millions of travelers for decades.
Growth and Specialization
For over 20 years, Palms focused on a niche, highly specialized strategy: mastering high-traffic travel concessions. By the early 2000s, we had become experts in navigating the competitive bidding landscape of Changi, operating iconic formats like the Orchid Café & Bar and the East & West Music Bar.
During this period, we transitioned from operating our own branded cafés to becoming a trusted franchisee for world-class brands. We secured the rights to bring household names like Subway and the Singaporean heritage brand Killiney Kopitiam into the airport environment, bridging the gap between global brands and local palates.

With the recent acquisition of Express Food Group (EFG) Cambodia, we have expanded our footprint across ASEAN markets, managing a diverse range of international brands including Boost Juice and Tous les Jours. Backed by a dedicated team of over 200 professionals, we continue to grow in tandem with the region’s rising status as a global travel hub.
